Picketwire Canyon in the Springtime

This year the grasslands and eastern plains are SO green, you feel like you're in Ireland or something!
Here is the view from Wooten's ranch looking down at the Purgatoire river.

Here we are, thinking about heading down the side!

The spring runoff is making the river fast and muddy, but Doug is intrepid!
The girls jumped in, too!

 Alice and Megumi are students from Colorado College who came with us,
and are fighting the expansion with us.

 

We are all tired, but having so much fun!
       

OK, we are all beat up, but feeling jubilant that we made it back up to the canyon rim.
